Here at Tweed Valley Farm, we grow on Barred Rock/Cornish cross, meat chickens and broad breasted turkeys, in limited numbers, for sale to our neighbors and our own freezer. The poultry is raised outdoors with fresh water daily and fed only the finest feeds that do not contain hormones, animal by-products nor pesticides.
Compared to factory raised chickens, farm raised chickens have 21% less fat, 30% less saturated fat, 34% less chlosterol, 50% more vitamin A and 400% more omega 3 fatty acids. THE FLAVOR CAN'T BE BEAT!
A USDA PROCESSING unit comes to the farm each year to process the poultry. They are either sold fresh, if they are picked up immediatly after processing, or frozen for a later pick-up.
Our Ameraucanas lay Blue, Green, Khaki and Pink eggs. UNIQUE EGGS........ GREAT FLAVOR! For sale almost daily.
